Isla Taboga is know as the island of flowers. It’s a 30 minute 8 mile ferry ride on the Taboga Express. Since the water isn’t safe to swim in in Panama City its the closest place to get in the ocean.I had the pleasure of living there for 4 months. There are two beaches as you exit the ferry. The one on your right is more of a party beach. I prefer the one on your left (above). Don’t miss stoppingat The Calaloo Restarant. It is run by my Canadian friend Cynthia. Following are 47 photos.

I lived in a cabin similiar to this in a park like setting with a view of the ocean. A 2 bedroom for $500 a month.

These boats are used for fishing and transporting food and supplies from the city

There some very interesting jungle hikes on the island where you will see all kinds of flora and fauna ranging from bananas to boas
