Carnival. Crazy way to celebrate a religious holiday. The whole country parties. The best place to participate is in a small town in the interior- Las Tablas. It’s the scene of beautiful parades and crazy drunken parties.

Prepare to get soaked by water trucks and kids with water pistols

Beer cans. A massive amount of alcohol is consumed. But amazingly despite that I saw no acts of violence and felt safe at all times.
